I had the opportunity to attend a GPD USA Tour in March 2009. I can't recommend this tour highly enough. If you're serious about investing in the property market in the US then this is the tour to go on. The chance to spend a week in close quarters to two guys who've been in the US market for over 5 years is invaluable and the knowledge they pass on would cost a fortune to learn any other way. It's also a great way to meet fellow investors and to see deals up close and personal and you never know what other hidden gems you'll come across.

I was fortunate enough to be able to participate in a GPD tour of Texas, USA resulting in my partner and I purchasing two properties in an area of Texas we had never even thought of, Sherman. Frank and Westan introduced us to a wide variety of investing opportunities and the people to help you get there in the investment market in the US.
We stayed in top accomodation (Frank had to interrupt my filming in a hotel lobby of one to get into the people mover) which I can highly recommend to others as fantastic.
The days were jam packed with people to see and loads of info to take back to our partner/husband/wife when contacting them at the days end. Oh we also went out socialising in the evenings of course!!!
On my return to Brisbane we have two tour groups lined up to experience the GPD investment tour experience. I hope you seriously consider it too as it is great to see first hand the opportunities available just have to get used to being called 'sir' or 'mam' as is the custom (I guess it saves them the embarassment of getting your name wrong).

They opened our eyes to a range of property investment opportunities in the US with excellent returns, and took the mystery out of how to make it happen. The tour was packed with property viewings and meeting key people in the areas of finance, legal advice and real estate sales, all of who Frank, Westan or Duncan could personally recommend from their own experiences. We were so impressed with the knowledge and insights generously shared by our guides and can highly recommend the US tour to others. The most valuable part of the tour has been the experience of Frank and Westan and the contacts they shared with the tour group. The variety of investment opportunities has been fantastic. Different ways of looking at opportunities certainly opened your mind and challenged your understanding of investing. The food, accommodation, and hosting could not be faulted. A great time was had by everyone both when ‘working’ and ‘playing’. It was fantastic having a timetable that was flexible when needed.

The variety of opportunities presented was outstanding, as was the quality of the presenters. Great value for money. How can anyone serious about property investing afford NOT to do this tour!! To gain access to meet and talk with the contacts was worth the last 6 months of my time. Great guys that made the trip most enjoyable! Awesome to have such great contacts.

If someone had said to me six months ago that I was going on a property tour to the US I would have said they had rocks in their head, but next thing you know after discussions with Frank there I was in the US with a bunch of other keen property investors looking at what's on offer. To say the trip was a lot of fun was an understatement. We only saw a small part of the States and yet the opportunities for investors is huge. The people we met were fantastically friendly and helpful, the deals were outstanding, and the shopping was amazing (what ever you do go to Wal-Mart and the outlet stores). Frank and Westan were knowledgeable and accommodating to everyone's needs on the tour. We had a range of investors, from those on a reconnaissance mission to the deadly serious and yet everyone's needs were catered for. We all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves on a non stop nine day blast. If you enjoy property investing and are looking for new opportunities this is the tour for you. Did I mention Wal-Mart......?

What a fantastic experience - six days on the road with six wonderful men all to my self. It was the best fun I've had with my clothes on. By day we raced around looking at properties; heaps and heaps of properties. At night the hunt was on for somewhere to shop, eat and take in some of the local entertainment. Highly recommended: the piano man at Dirty Nelly's Irish Pub, San Antonio. But be warned: this pub puts a secret ingredient in their Margaritas. You will wake up in the morning feeling fine but your legs will be drunk! Hats off to Frank and Westan for their driving skills, safely ferrying us around Nashville and Texas during the busiest holiday week on the American calendar. We saw great deals and met some key people. Those contacts were generous with their time and expertise, some even accompanying us and explaining procedures as we toured their respective patch. Congratulations GPD - you have the know-how and quality contacts for successful investing in the US. You've won my confidence and I'm looking forward to touring with you again in April 2008. I had a great time travelling over to the USA. It was my first time on an international flight. It really opened up my mind to see so many great opportunities that there are in USA. It was great meeting other investors and picking up different ideas about investing in property. I had lots of fun eating out going shoping of course and seeing lots and lots of property. I had purchased my property before I went to the USA and it was good to see the finished product. Thanks to Westan and Frank for all their help and advice,

I thoroughly enjoyed the tour. It exceeded my expectations in several ways. It was well organised and certainly a full agenda. the standard of accomodation and food was very good. Westan & Frank did a magnificent job at keeping the show on the road whilst keeping a much needed sense of humour at times. I still don't think Frank has recovered from the worlds longest detour and the amount of beers it cost him. The "partners" etc were very knowledgeable, kind and courteous. Only when a complete understanding of the role they play was acheived, did i realise how beneficial this tour was becoming. There was plenty of variety for all types of investor , considering all sizes of pockets. As a newcomer to the industry i found myself motivated, inspired and encouraged from listening and interacting with my fellow investors and this alone was an enormous amount of fun.
I must commend both Westan and Frank for their willingness to share their knowledge and past experiences, and advice completely unreservedly. A rare find which only compounds their Integrity in what they do. I came away convinced that this network is an integral part of my investing future and am already looking for my next acquisition through GPD.
I couldn't recommend the tour highly enough , no matter what level of investor you are.

Frank and Weston gave our small property investor group a great introduction to the USA realestate market. The tour also introduced us to the right professional people to enable foreigners,to do property deals over there..There are some great deals over in USA. Anyone with an open mind should go on the next tour.

June 07Having decided to take the plunge into overseas property investment, I spent months scouring the internet and talking to countless people in various countries. I came to the conclusion that my big issue was "who can I trust". There were several who appeared trustworthy, but one person stood out head and shoulders from the crowd. That man was Westan Johnson from Global Property Deals in Australia. Having been stung before I am very cautious, but over a period of time I realised that Westan is an exception to his industry. He seems to take the attitude that if he operates with total integrity, and goes that extra mile, then the word will spread and he can grow his business. I commend him for the help he gave me, and it was a pleasure to pay his finders commission; it was reasonable, and very well earned.
P.S I purchased a house with spare site in Sherman, Texas, and am currently having it renovated, and hope to rent it out and start earning some money. Colin M. Belfast. Ireland
May 07 My husband, Egan and I have just finalised the purchase of our first USA property through Global Property Deals. We have property in Australia but this was our first overseas investment. We bought a condo in Nashville which was a relatively small purchase, but as it was bought unseen we had many questions that Frank, Weston and Lisa had to plough through before we were satisfied that we had done enough diligent homework on the purchase. It is a big step and learning curve to buy in another country as there are many different processes and issues that have to be addressed.. And we are still learning.... It was great to have experienced people to talk to about the issues. The purchase itself was not all smooth sailing due in part to the USA banking system which is not as advanced as Australia's. I guess glitches along the way are to be expected. We are hoping that this positive gearing property will prove to be a good purchase and lead to bigger and better things in America. We plan to visit the USA in the near future and further our research into this very interesting market. - Libby S - Western Australia
